Accessible Tourism

Great Smoky Mountains National Park has multiple accessible trails and drivable loops. Cades Cove and Roaring Fork Nature Trail are among the drivable routes, and Sugarlands Valley Nature Trail is a fully paved, half-mile trail accessible for wheelchair users. Park rangers can offer advice on other accessible trails. The Maryville-Alcoa Greenway is nine miles of paved, wheelchair accessible paths that pass fields, fountains, creeks and a waterfall. The Townsend Visitor Center is accessible, as are many prominent attractions in the Smokies.
