Thanks to our friends at the Black Bear Solar Institute, electric vehicle charging stations are now free at various locations across the Peaceful Side!

The new locations are: the Maryville Welcome Center (201 S. Washington St.), the Townsend Visitor’s Center (7906 E. Lamar Alexander Parkway) and the Great Smoky Mountains Heritage Center (123 Cromwell Dr., Townsend, Tenn.). Free charging is available for all-electric or plug-in hybrid vehicles without aquiring any sort of access card or membership in any billing system. Drivers simply plug in their car and free charging will start automatically within 10 seconds!
