Autumn in the Smokies

From late September in the high elevations of the mountains to early November in the lower elevations of the foothills and valleys, the Great Smoky Mountains offer a tapestry of color.

Peak Colors

At the high elevations, showy colors will most likely last through the third week of October or so, depending on weather. Mid elevations will last through the end of October, and low elevations into the first week of November, unless there are storms.
